Le jeune pharaon Thabit est connu pour son règne austère et sa dureté. Seule son épouse peut lui ramener le sourire. Un jour, celle-ci tombe malade. Thabit fait un pacte avec les Dieux afin qu’elle guérisse. En échange, il doit construire une ville et devenir un bon pharaon.
